Living in Spain as we do, we are very aware that a lot of you "DREAM" about coming here to Retire and live in a healthier better all year round climate. The first problem is that very often people feel nervous not knowing anyone over here, and not being too sure of how to go about things, especially after some of the bad publicity in the British Press. The other problems you ask yourselves is "Could I still do it at my time of life - or have I left it too late"? Plus a very big worry is would I fit in? So, if you are really interested in sharing some of our Blue Skies and Sunshine, you will need to come on over and be guided on an Observation Tour, shown round and introduced to some of those who have already completed the One Way Ticket move. We live here, so it is our Job to make sure that we give you the best advice that we can ..... After all, you could soon be one of our Neighbours, and when you become a foreigner abroad you will find we as ex-pats all stick fairly close together. |

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

We can give you our Guarantee that from the time you arrive here in Spain until you leave, we will be here to help, advise and generally look after and take care of you. We look forward to meeting you soon.
Retiring to Spain is now more popular than ever – and, for many people, the
reasons to do so just get
stronger and stronger.
No other country in the world has over 40 years of experience in delivering a wide range of property and leisure services to the British market – from the early days of the package holiday to the boom in more recent private freehold ownership.
The Spanish climate, particularly in the south, is hot in
summer and warm in winter with the Costa Blanca having over 320 days of
sunshine a year.
3) Travel is Cheap for you and your Family
Getting to
the Costa’s, in particular, to enjoy the great weather has never been easier or
cheaper with regular daily flights from many airports in the UK. This is a boom
not only for those retiring to Spain but also great for friends and family
coming out to visit.
4) Excellent Transport Links
The many years of European
Union and local government investment in Spain mean that, upon your arrival,
modern, efficient airport terminals are there to receive you. The roads to
convey you to your accommodation and on your travels are
pretty good too!
5) Modern, efficient hospitals and services
Hospitals,
Schools and other essential civic services have all also seen significant
investment, particularly in up market areas like the
Costa Blanca.
6) Your Money goes further
Living in Spain is also a
pleasure with many everyday living expenses far lower than you would find in the
UK. Eating out is a way of life, affordable and outdoors. There are so many
restaurants you really are spoilt for choice with traditional Spanish food
sitting alongside traditional English – including Chinese and Indian!
7) 750,000 British people own a home in Spain
Estimates
vary as to the number of Brits owning a property in Spain, but it is generally
agreed to be around 750,000 and rising. About half this number is considered to
now live permanently in Spain – many in retirement.
8) Retirement should be one of the best times of your
life!
The concept of Retirement often means something different
these days. We are certainly getting ‘older later’ and when rid of the shackles
of mortgages, jobs and immediate duties to our children, we often re-visit the
things we did in our youth (or wanted to do!), but just could not find the time
or the money.
A healthy approach to retirement certainly seems a sensible way to enjoy
yourself and this has started to be recognized by some
property developers.
A full guide to the best retirement resorts in Spain will be coming soon. Click here if you would like to be emailed when it is finished.

Introducing you to English Speaking Solicitor, opening Spanish Bank Account (if
you do not already have one), arranging NIE number etc.
You would need to
secure any property that you wish to buy with a Deposit of 5,000 euros (or
English Sterling). (This is the law in Spain). The sale should take
approximately 3 weeks to go through. We do not accept cheques or Bankers Drafts
as these take too long in Spain to clear. You would either need to bring cash
(euro or pounds), or have arranged with your Credit Card Company to obtain your
FULL deposit.
When you finalise your purchase at the Notary we will
refund your expenses of £200 back in cash.
It would appear that Spain has
now gone in to line with the rest of Europe concerning the opening of a New Bank
Account.
All potential clients need to bring with them to Spain proof of
income ie a wage slip such as a P60. For Retired Persons, they would also need
to bring with them a Bank Statement showing a regular income going in to their
acccount. Self employed people will need to bring with them details of income
going though their Bank, and Accountants end of the last year Statement.
The Bank's have toughened up on information that they
require so as to make sure that the account that is being opened is a genuine
residence of the country they are coming from. This has come about because of
the laundering situation (drugs). Please do not worry about this as Trevor will
be here to help and advise you all the way through your purchase !
The
other interesting move is that if you try to open a Bank Account for a property
that you are going to buy in Spain by going into your local Bank ie Santander in
England, they will not do this for you. They will tell you that you can only do
it once you are in Spain.
For anybody who is serious
about buying, if these points are not followed, when you are here in Spain, you
will end up having to go back to the UK, or whatever Country you come from, and
then have to return to Spain to produce the proof of income before opening your
Account, which means you could lose the property you wish to buy.
If you
have any questions concerning your Inspection Trips please let us have your
landline and convenient time to ring you,
and Trevor will be happy to discuss the whole package/trip with you !!
