The beach of Albir is a super centre of activity for visitors to Alfas
and at around one third of a mile long has consistently won the
European Blue Flag for its very high standards. With clean and clear
water offering some of the best bathing anywhere on the Mediteranean,
it has an average temperature of 25C and around 300 sunny days a year.
For
the more adventurous tourist, there is a nude beach close to the
lighthouse. The stars promenade (Paseo de las Estrellasis) plays host
to plenty of good bars where you can eat and drink all day long whilst
relaxing by the pebble beach with its magnificent views looking over
the bay to Altea and Calpe.
The Nautic Club and Campomanes water sports centres can offer lessons
in swimming, sailing, snorkeling and diving and for begginers or
experienced divers you can find an interesting dive site close to the
Mascarat marina just north of Alfas del Pi. For the non-swimmers, you
can enjoy a submarine tour to see the marine life without having to get
wet.
If you fancy some extra fun with a sandy beach you could try Benidorm
just 10 minutes drive down the road. You'll find an action packed fun
day with paragliding, banana rides and all sorts of other beach based
entertainement.
Restaurants, Cafes and the Bars
 In
the quiet and calm atmosphere of Albir, you will still find plenty of
occasions to excite your senses. Because the service providers of Albir
are geared towards catering to the northern European public, you won’t
find much to be desired for. You’ll discover an abundance of
restaurants, bars and café’s – some having cool and shady terraces -
all on the roads leading from the entrance of the village to the beach,
so you don’t have to walk a marathon to be able to enjoy them all!
