Over the past 20 years Ciudad Quesada has developed into an award winning urbanization, finally getting it’s own Town Hall, making it a town in its own right. The urbanization is located on south facing slopes with commanding views over the salt lakes of Torrevieja, one an actual working salt lake considered to be the most important in Europe, the other being a nature reserve. Laguna de la Mata is now a Conservation Area with many paths and tracks around the lake, perfect for long walks or a mountain bike ride to take you away from it all, and yet a few moments from the town centre. The Roman spa baths at Fortuna are well worth a visit. The thermal waters have therapeutic properties and remain at an ambient temperature all year round. |
